PHOTO FACIAL FOR SUN DAMAGE
Both the pleasures and stresses of life, along with the simple passage of time, tend to cause our skin to appear older. The signs of photoaging and sun damage are typically most visible on a person's face and body. While numerous treatments from simple creams to major surgeries exist to improve various facial flaws, skin specialists have always sought dramatic improvement with low risk and low downtime. Additionally, many conventional treatment options can only address one condition at a time, while they entail a prolonged recovery, time, considerable pain, and potential side effects. Besides tightening wrinkles and stimulating collagen growth for younger-looking skin, the Intense Pulsed Light Photo Facial can treat unwanted birthmarks, spider veins, age spots, sun spots, and freckles. The Fraxel laser was developed to meet physician demand for a treatment with all the benefits of an invasive laser skin resurfacing without the traditional downtime, side effects, and lengthy recovery period. Acne scars are incredibly difficult to treat. Often a result of severe acne during adolescence, acne scars should not plague your adulthood. Without the downtime of a more aggressive dermabrasion or CO2 laser resurfacing procedure, Fraxel may smooth out even the deepest of scars.

The Smoothbeam laser treatment clears active acne by changing the function of overactive sebaceous glands-the root cause of acne. This laser treatment is such a safe laser, that its commonly used around the eyes to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The Smoothbeam laser works by targeting a wavelength of light that is absorbed by the water in your skin. As the laser penetrates into the skin, heat is generated in and around the sebaceous glands in the upper layers of your skin. The heating of the sebaceous glands creates a mild thermal injury that changes the structure and function of the glands. Shortly after the first treatment, you will start to see a reduction in the number of acne lesions on your skin. There is little downtime associated with the Smoothbeam laser and most redness subsides in a few hours. As with most lasers, several treatments are required for optimum results.
