Photo Facial for Reversal of Sun Damage and Aged Skin
These treatments even out pigment and improve the appearance of sun damaged and aged skin, firm skin texture and tone, as well as reduce redness and flushing from rosacea or broken capillaries. Some swelling usually occurs in the treatment area. Brown spots will darken before falling off and capillaries may appear more visible for a day or two. New low price of $385 for face!

Smoothbeam™ for Acne
Smooths wrinkles, remodels some types of acne scars and clears active acne (including that on the back) by changing the function of the sebaceous glands. There is no downtime and treatment usually includes 3-8 sessions. $350 per treatment.

GentleLase ™ for Hair Removal
Selectively destroys pigmented hair in the follicle without damaging surrounding skin. Results are semi-permanent once the hair is cleared, though occasional minor touch-ups may be necessary. Downtime is only a slight redness for 1-2 days. Results vary by patient, but we suggest 3 to 6 sessions to clear an area. Prices vary by area $100-650 per treatment.

Aesthera Isolaz® Therapy for Acne
The latest quick zit-be-gone fix comes in the form of the new Isolaz treatment. A laser that tackles discoloration, rosacea, and active acne. After one treatment, you'll notice break-outs on your face are smaller the next day and pores and blemishes are visibly lighter. Downtime may include redness and heat at the site of treatment. We suggest 4-5 sessions. $350 per treatment.

Fraxel® Resurfacing Laser for Wrinkles, Scarring, Uneven Skin Tone
For texture and firmness, to smooth lines and even pigment, this resurfacing laser has minimal downtime when compared to other resurfacing methods. The Fraxel clears the treated area of age spots and discoloration while at the same time works equally well around the eyes, on the face, neck, chest and hands. Downtime usually varies between 3-14 days of redness, followed by peeling, similar to that of a sunburn. Treatment series is between 3-5 sessions. $1000.

WHAT IS A HAIR FACIAL AND WHAT DOES IT DO?

Many of our patients and employees have been going on and on about the Four-Step Hair and Scalp Facial at the Beverly Hills salon. I decided to find out what all the fuss was about and get one myself.
When Ross Poole, a protegé of PHILIP B, introduced himself to me, the first thing I noticed about him was an incredibly pleasant, welcoming, and joyful personality. He invited me into his chair, offered me a beverage, and plunged his hands into my hair. After feeling, smelling, and examining my hair, he told me about the alkaline quality of California water and what my hair needed to stay balanced. Without the appropriate products to keep the hair balanced, just washing your hair with tap water will open up the cuticle leading to frizzy, uncontrollable, damaged-looking hair. Who knew?
The first step in the hair facial is brushing. Ross explained to me the ins- and-outs of brushing and brushes. Strangely fascinated, my scalp tingled with pleasure through the whole 10 minutes. Brushing can actually be a special experience! Next, Ross applied
PHILIP B® Rejuvenating Oil onto sections of my hair. He turned on music from a mix he created especially for this treatment while massaging the oil into my hair and scalp. I was in heaven. The music, the divine aroma of the rejuvenating oil, and a twenty minute head, neck, and scalp massage is an equation for deliciousness! Forget Burke Williams, this is the spa treatment to end all spa treatments. I nearly cried when he wrapped a hot towel around my head because I knew we were moving onto the specialized shampoo and conditioning and the massage was over! After Ross washed the oil out of my hair with PHILIP B® products, he gave me the best haircut and blow dry I've ever had. My hair was supple and gorgeous. I felt like a million bucks. Ross finished with hints and steps on styling my new do. He gave me an entire hair care regimen, revealing that the PHILIP B® Detangling Finishing Rinse is a must-have in every regimen and is available in both our Santa Monica and Beverly Hills offices.

WHY PEEL?

Skin peeling involves an application of a chemical solution to sun-damaged, unevenly pigmented, and finely wrinkled facial areas. The procedure is meant to diminish imperfections by peeling away the skin's top layers. Chemical peels vary according to their specific ingredients and their strength. Depth of peeling action may also depend on factors such as how long solutions remain on the skin and whether they are lightly applied, or more heavily or vigorously applied. No anesthesia is necessary for any of the peels we offer in our office. Downtime includes redness and peeling for 3-10 days, but vary dependent on person and type of peel.
