GET READY FOR SUMMER WITH
LASER HAIR REMOVAL:
THE GIFT YOU GIVE YOURSELF

Get ready for summer by starting your hair removal treatments now. Laser hair removal uses a low-energy laser to gently remove unwanted hair. Long-lasting, laser hair removal replaces shaving, waxing, and electrolysis leaving your skin smoother and silkier.

Laser hair removal treatments are effective on almost any area of the body where smoother, younger, hair-free skin is desired. Hair that does grow back will generally grow back slower, thinner, and lighter in color.

Usually multiple treatments are required to achieve optimum results. The number of treatments necessary varies by complexion, hair color, and area of the body being treated. Individuals with fair complexions and dark hair will see the most significant results. Those with fine, blond hair are not good candidates for this procedure as they will not see a result.

Prior to treatment, we recommend a consultation to determine if laser hair removal is right for you. Four to six treatments spaced four weeks apart are necessary for optimum results.

FILLERS: PERLANE® AND RESTYLANE®

Wherever the location, all lines, wrinkles and furrows are caused by a structural breakdown either in the skin or in the skin in combination with the fat and/or muscle tissue that supports it. Very fine lines and deeper lines respond best to soft tissue augmentation in the form of injectable fillers.

The end result of an injection of Perlane or Restylane is to plump an area to a natural-looking, youthful smoothness whether it be superficial lines, nasolabial folds (edge of the nose to the corner of the mouth), drooping lip corners (marionette lines), lip definition, lip enhancement, and scar revision.

Perlane and Restylane are hyaluronic acid fillers and composed of a synthetic biodegradable version of a naturally-occurring sugar in human joints and skin that provides support and cushioning within the skin. Downtime usually includes some swelling and bruising for 1-3 days and the results may last from 4-6 months.

IPL PHOTO FACIAL LASER
FOR SUN DAMAGE

Both the pleasures and stresses of life, along with the simple passage of time, tend to cause our skin to appear older. The signs of photoaging and sun damage are typically most visible on a person's face and body. While numerous treatments from simple creams to major surgeries exist to improve various facial flaws, skin specialists have always sought dramatic improvement with low risk and low downtime. Additionally, many conventional treatment options can only address one condition at a time, while they entail a prolonged recovery, time, considerable pain, and potential side effects.

Besides tightening wrinkles and stimulating collagen growth for younger-looking skin, the Intense Pulsed Light Photo Facial can treat unwanted birthmarks, spider veins, age spots, sun spots, and freckles. Other conditions improved by IPL treatments are seborrheic keratosis, hyperpigmentation, port wine stains, and rosacea. IPL technology helps create smoother-looking skin on the face, neck, chest, arms, and hands.

Both pigmented and vascular lesions are often treatable through a series of Photo Facials. Vascular lesions are skin blemishes due to abnormal blood vessels located under your skin’s surface giving the skin a reddish color. Pigmented lesions, usually brown in color, are caused by prolonged sun exposure.  Freckles, for example, are pigmented lesions that can be improved by the IPL treatments.

The number of recommended treatments will depend on the size, location, depth, and color of your lesion. Age spots and spider veins often do well with one or two treatments. Other conditions may require a series of four to eight treatments. Before and after pictures are available in our office.
